It's interesting that just as Sun and Java are finally jumping into the free-software pool with both feet, Novell is starting to climb out of that same pool. I don't think this is going to make any project switch from Mono to Java overnight, this is certainly going to make some people think twice. Could this be the beginning of the end for .NET on anything but Windows?
