I am asking this question because certain Yahoo Mobile Programmers?Managers read this blog and will see this post. Maybe if they use they could somehow financially compensate the original idea generator.

Having a mobile version of YouTube whereas mobile camera phone users cna submit their videos in an easy manner with no mess or fuss would be an ideal competitive response to Google's buying of YouTube. Better yet set up a capital fund and fund a small group say based in the midwest to compete the engineering project.

Some of the implementation is easy such as using wURFL to detect what device capabilities and etc so that the MMS or etc can be processed to post the videos and etc. Cluster wise maybe use something like the underlying clustering new in Geronimo 1.3 for clustering Geronimo and Tomcat.

This should be a slam dunk for Yahoo.
