I just discovered this great article thanks to my blogfeeds. Now i dont need an embedded jetty in my project but i definitly like the idea how things fit together. First we have Spring support for XBean and then we have tools and servers that directly support XBean configuration like Jetty. With this you can write really non-verbose and clear configuration XML in Spring. Lets see what other projects will directly support XBean. So many things to know ... so less time.
Update: On second thought, i wonder if this article is still up to date concerning Spring2. With Spring2 it should be possible to just embed the Schema and use custom xml tags right away. Of course projects like jetty would have to provide an XSD and do the parsing (which can all be generated by XBean as i understood it).
