This Business Week Article on Click Fraud highlights the real way some Domain Name Speculators make money from their large portfolio of websites with parked ads. While working for the Domain Name Speculator Start-Up in Indy in 2001 I did not notice a click fraud pattern.

However, the low amount of revenue from click ads combined with unrealistic business models does in fact push some domain name speculators towards this unethical and often illegal business method.
