I remember starting to work early 09-11-01 for the same Indianapolis domain name speculator start-up as I started with in May of 2001. Later in the week the CEO was scheduled to attend the Wash DC version of JavaOne despite being told that the prototype demo of search engine/p2p mash-up using JXTA was not ready. Morning was normal enough the first hour and than the radio saying the twin towers had been hit.

Rest of the day was in a daze completing work while watching news reports. Debating whether or not I should go AWOL on work and spend 2 weeks at NYC helping as it was only a 18 hour drive away or less. Wondering why my bosses at work never communicated any reaction. No emphatic responses to any 9-11 items. Later, I learned it was just another sign of the unethical and bad business behavior of this start-up domain name speculator based in Indianapolis.
