Groovy builders provide a very powerful way to generate XML, to create ANT builds or to create Swing or SWT interfaces. You could also use it for generating code. The next version of the Wedge (http://wedge.sf.net) framework will be using groovy for generating code for rendering pages and components. Here are some initial thoughts on how it should be done.
