My particular problem was that MSIE was not clearing certain CSS boxes correctly which made alignment of elements vertically not synch up properly. This Easy Clearing Hack by PositionISEverything helped correct my issues.

What is nice is tha they covered Mac browsers as well as Opera in making sure the hacks do not break anything. Works better than writing a specific IE stylesheet.
