Mobicents is an event driven applicaiotn server compliant with JSLEE 1.0 and runs on top of a JavaEE application server. While its main foucs is event driven high volume low latency network traffic it allows convergence of voice, data, video, and etc into one application.
Mobicents has published a Parlay RA(Resource Adaptor) allowing Parlay developers to develop more complicated mobile applications using Mobicents strengths. Ideal for mobile game development in which server side stuff is required, for an exmaple a LBS game.
On the othe rmoible side the SIP handsets you have been seeing from BenQ, Moto, and etc. also find their home in use of this applicaiotn server with RAs for SIp as well.
