Feed Description: My thoughts on Java, software development and technology.
The London Java Meetup was fun last night. Good turnout and good to see some familiar as well as new faces. Conversations included the future of Java EE and how Spring is going to take over the world, Buildix, Continuum, Australian geography, fatherhood and magic. From my persective, I discovered that I have a few more Pebble users in London than I thought I did. Also, it's nice to hear that people get benefit from downloading the Pebble sources to see how they're structured, how some of the code is written, how other open source libraries are used, etc. I tend to learn a lot from looking at other open source projects and it had never really occurred to me that others find Pebble useful in the same way too, so that was nice.
There were a lot of cameras present so I'm sure some photos will pop up on the web at some point. I like the meetup, it's just nice to get out, meet people and see what they're up to. Pop along next month if you're about.
