A Security Release for XAMPP has been posted as version 1.5.3a Xampp on windows. The details of the security issues are here. If you use XAMPP for Windows on your developers workstation you need to install lthis new version and uninstall the previous one.

No there is no update and you will have to reinstall all your apps and etc.
