Here's a generized version of the presentation I gave at the Pervasive ISV round table a couple weeks ago. It covers 4 "trends" and discusses how they apply to people who're developing software, i.e., how these trends can make their customers and end-users rock. The focus, of course, is on databases, which comes through the most in the OSS and free DB slides.

It's light on text, so it doesn't stand too well on it's own. There's a crap-load of back-up slides as well. If you're interested in more detail, or (even better!) have something to add or errors to point out, send me an email or contact me.
