As expect Red Hat buys JBoss. Ed Burnnette reports on the conference call that Red Hat and JBoss held with the press, here. Congrats JBoss staff!

it was not about just theri developmental culture matching but also their shared desire to have a customizeable open source enterpise stack that adapts to customer needs and choices. Due to this move expect in 8 12 months a coutner move by other players in the web MVC framework adaption.

Candidates for that move are RoR, OpoenSiaals, Catalyst, Django, TurboGears, and etc. Move will not be a buy out per say but towards adoption of these new web MVC frameworks in a an enterprise stack.
