I have to admit, Seam can be a hard thing to figure out. It's not that Seam is complicated. On the contrary, it is amazingly simple. However, Seam challenges conventional web programming models on so many levels that it is tricky to know where to start to bring a typical Java EE developer up to speed.
That's why it is heartening to see people when when the Seam lightbulb turns on. The author is skeptical of some parts of Seam (as you should be if you've never seen anything quite like it) but clearly is understanding the value of some of the core concepts of Seam. BC does a brilliant job of summarizing the parts of Seam she saw. I suggest giving it a read.
