I have been pretty quiet lately on this blog but hey here's another posting just before this year ends.
I finally quit my dayjob and decided to work as an independant freelance consultant and software architect. Finally... I have been thinking about this for almost two years now but because of my lack of motivation and the bad economic conditions in germany I always had an excuse to stay on my job...
It definately was a good job but I just love to be independant. So now is the time. I am also going through some private changes, so it is the best time to start out fresh and create something new.
This means I will spend more time working on opensource projects and I am also planning to do some more writing. My main focus will be j2ee consulting and software architecture but I also want to spend more time developing rails applications. I am just in the process of joining an american startup as a rails developer. Once it is official I will let you know...
That's it for now, 2006 will definately be a year of change for me....
