I don't usually do job ads on my blog, but I'm going to make an exception - we are hiring! We're looking for several types of people at the moment (take a look at current opportunities), but from a technical perspective we're primarily looking for consultants and architects with Java and/or .NET experience.

Aside from it being true (we're off to play arcade games/pool/bowling this evening and I'm re-running the first part of my architecture training next week), I've seen few companies that really do succeed with the career progression/having fun balance. Some of the technologies we're currently using include Java, J2EE, Swing, Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse, IntelliJ, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, JMS, Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, C#, .NET, Visual Studio, Sharepoint, web services, SOA, ESB, etc, etc. If you think of a technology, we're almost certainly using it for real somewhere in the city.
