Feed Description: My thoughts on Java, software development and technology.
I don't usually do job ads on my blog, but I'm going to make an exception - we are hiring! We're looking for several types of people at the moment (take a look at current opportunities), but from a technical perspective we're primarily looking for consultants and architects with Java and/or .NET experience.
Who are we? We're a rapidly growing software consultancy that provides business solutions to our clients, mostly within the investment banking sector in the city. Why should you join us? Well, take the following quote from the careers section of our website...
Evolution is justifiably proud of its staff. We have built up and continue to grow a team of highly-talented, well-rounded people who enjoy working on challenging projects and enjoy working with each other. Each year we spend significant resources on recruitment, career progression, training and lifestyle activities.
Aside from it being true (we're off to play arcade games/pool/bowling this evening and I'm re-running the first part of my architecture training next week), I've seen few companies that really do succeed with the career progression/having fun balance. In terms of projects, we work on everything from client-server desktop applications to web-based systems, and everything in between. Some of the technologies we're currently using include Java, J2EE, Swing, Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse, IntelliJ, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, JMS, Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, C#, .NET, Visual Studio, Sharepoint, web services, SOA, ESB, etc, etc. If you think of a technology, we're almost certainly using it for real somewhere in the city.
Interested? Send a copy of your CV to careers at evolution.net and tell them I sent you.
