Even among good and rapid advaincing projects you have spots that need improvement and Eclipse is no exception. The article by David Beisack, SAS, on pluggin into Sourceforg.net is a clear example with actual warning signs.

Its not a bad article but it smissing something very important. Its even more telling considering that SAS is probably a comitter to Eclipse. What is missing in this article?

What it is missing is the Bugzilla Integration plugin that has been out for for almost 12 months! While having a wiki among Eclipse developers may solve some problems; the bigger problem of documentation for a very rapid expanding complexitiy of Eclipse porjects reamins a very real problem to Eclipse users.

How many Eclispe users were aware that there is in fact a Bugzilla integration pluging for Eclipse 3.1? I bet its less than 10% of Eclipse users despite over 50% of Eclispe users probably using Sourceforge.net to store their FOSS projects.

I was aware of the plugin because of my coverage of Eclipse plugins here at this blog.
