As a big fan of Nietzsche, I take great pleasure in fartin' around with (often cynical) software aphorisms. Here's a couple on unit testing (pardon the hubris it takes to quote myself, but I think these are good'uns):

"Unit tests are the dog everyone kicks on the way out the door."

"When it comes to making sure the code works vs. delivering on time, people are always going to choose the second."
