Apache is seriously considering Sun's J2EE-compliance certification for it's new J2EE project Geronimo, thought they know they are diving into the same long-running dispute between JBoss and Sun. Apache has the advantage of being fully open-sourced and completely free whereas JBoss being a kind of commerical enterprise. Apache Geronimo is expected to be available within 12 months.
