I am finishing up a ServerDefFile plugin for the WTP J2EE development environment within Eclipse. It will allow stop, starting, and deployment to SunOne SJSAS 8.1.01 PE and future versions in Eclipse.
I am including the Linux and Solaris versions as well as Windows. All versions are to be considered alpha as I do not have currently access to all Linux and Solaris versions to test it on at the momment.
What it does for the Eclipse community is put the Eclipse platform on equal basis with NetBeans in that a new J2EE developer can just download the full J2EE SDK and Eclipse with WTP and start immediately in J2EE development.
I should have the download up over the weekend. What is the next Eclipse plugin that I am completing? I am not sure maybe some other ServerDef plugins for other J2EE servers such as; JFOX, Caucho's Resin, and Jetty.
