I found a resonable solution to the not running as windows service or unix daemon settings of the generic SDFs in JST portion of Eclipse WTP. If we re-create the generic SDF samples with the start/stop script locations asked for in the Server InstaleldRuntimes than we only need one profile for each server and the user if they need running as windows service or unix daemon they would just re-adjust their start/stop scripts and modify the location setting in preferences.

This would be a vast improvement on the current sample settings in SDFs and put all the servers on equal footing as far as flexiblity of all SDFs. This way generic SDFs serve both the beginner devlepoer and the advanced developer with the saem flexibility and ease of use.
