According to this CNN-Money article analysts are predicting that the Nov 26 deadline for cell phone number protability will spur carriers to up theri spending to keep subscribers. The changes will be in higher discounts on handsets and services.

This will mena lower profit margins and thus we shouldsee an improved push of J2ME games and services because J2ME game and app downloading is not a loss leader but a profit margin booster with carriers taking 50% of the price that consumers pay to download an app or game. This will mena that the opportunity is wide open of new J2ME devlopers that can produce quality games, both casual and not, for USA Mobile Carriers.
