In case you are writing the next killer web app using CSS then do watch out for the checklist to show you the compatibility with browser.
You may be tempted to use the :hover selector in CSS but do you know its not supported on IE (if it is not a link)?
Coloring the scrollbars is not a good idea either as many other browsers apart from IE does not support them well.

So how do I know all this? Simple, I read it from the page found at title of this post. You too can :)
