Its kind of ironic or funny, while Nokia understands the power of blogs and at one time even funded blog sites such as TheFeature.com; Motorola still cannot comprehend how blogs could fit into their corporate strategy in the Mobile space.
Take this example, a well known Mobile blogger is right near Motorola's own corporate offices. Employees of Motorola read this blog author every day. But, no notice passes up to corpoate management. Nokia got to where it is by understanding both the power user and the non power user with not only experiencing it but listening to both users out in public beyond the corporate offices.
Moto obviously could start a conversation with popel outside its corporate offfices amoung blogs but it has to be equal amount in listening to gain the effects Mototorola might be looking for in the Mobile space.
Right now because of the UI choices Moto handsets are damn difficult to use even amoung power users let alone yoru own mom. This will only chnage once Moto is readdy to listen to folks outside its own corporate offices as an every day haqbit rather than an annual event or tech show. Think of how different the UI might be if the feedback from outside the corproate offices was treated just as important as feedback inside the corporate offices.
When will Moto get in the Game? But maybe being so physical close to Moto's own headquarters I might be wrong...
