I must preface this with the partial disclaimer that I am in talks with a third party publisher to begin writing articles for IBM's DeveloperWorks. Having stated that bias lets cover the why IBM does nopt get blogs.

Visit the home page of IBM's DW, now contrast that with Sun's Java.NET. Notice in Sun's own Java.NET there is somewhat equal coverage of both articles and blog posts. In IBM's case nowhere can we find any such highlighting on the front page.

This coupled with the act of even attemptiing to find the page where IBM DW blogs are listed seems to indicate that community to IBM means a dark dank corner where the light of the community does not reach. Okay, that is a bit over dramatic but what are to conclude on this lack of focused direct effort at community building by IBM DeveloperWorks?
