Or is that a REALLY stupid question, especially given freeroller.net's notoriety in making its authors really work hard to read and write their blogs?

I did my morning ritual of dropping by Java.net and read this article about new features added to the blog area, and I suddenly realized how comparatively advanced Roller Weblogger was compared to the Java.net engine.

Why not pool resources and help each other out? Why not stop the duplication of effort and create a really cool and robust java blog engine?

Oh well, back to the john.
