Now that the time is heating up for the next release of Java (code named Mustang), the features have been posted at the Sun Microsystems website.

The complete article (available at the title of this post) will detail the important core features that are coming in Mustang.

Some of the most Interesting and Notable features are:
XML Digital Signatures
Smart Card I/O API
Webservices stack
The Java Compiler API.

Another interesting thing to note is that the next version of Java is going to be called Mustang. This article also gives a hint about the release.
