Ed Burnette blogged this morning that the Eclipse Desktop Integration project has posted its first draft. The most interesting part of his post is the mention that they are trying to work with the JDIC project ran by Sun. Having both parties work on an integration API is a great step forward for desktop Java.

I've already been talking to one of the JDIC project leads (George Zhang) and response has been positive so far. Currently I'm waiting to hear back on how we can resolve the license mismatch between the two projects.
