I'm beginning to review JXTA in a Nutshell. Just got the book from one of the GUJ sponsors, Tempo Real,
and they've been really nice to let me keep it after I review it. Yay,
first Java book in my bookshelf so far - most of my books are either
fictional, and the few techie ones are more generic (so far the best
ones I've had and read being The Mythical Man-Month and The Practice Of Programming).
I'm still in the second chapter, but I think it's enough to give out
some opinion: the book is very well-written, and has a killer
introduction, which will certainly got me hooked to read it cover to
cover. Chapters are well organized, and so far, following the book was
very easy. Kudos to Scott Oaks, Bernard Traversat and Li Gong for
writing such a valuable piece.
Being so cold outside (it's 9 degrees now, I'm freezing), it's always
nice to have a good book to read while stuck under a blanket drinking
some hot chocolate.
