Because PersonalJava before the personal profile is part of the story leading up to the J2ME Platform, I have to include more content in the JVM and mobile OS pages on personal java to keep it accurate. Plus, more content in the JVM pages on the technologies used.
In the profiles such as MIDP 1.0 I have to include closed source apis that made it to MIDP 2.0 such as parts of Nokia UI and etc. But, closed source apis that did not becoem part of the J2ME Platform wikk not be detialed as this is a wikibook on the J2ME Platform.
You will notice that I have moved the link to the wikibook on the top of this page and that we now have a Cover Image for the wikibook.
Is this book shwowing up as part of article content sponsored by OReilly.com and Sun Microsystems. While I would not call it direct sponsorship, the first talk was informative and I am submitting article outlines based on the tenor of that discussion in the near future.
