Nice presentation, but I am not convinced of the JPA 2 Criteria API.

About one year before JPA 2, we released Querydsl, a general type-safe query language for Java with JPA, JDO and SQL bindings. Here is a comparison to JPA : http://source.mysema.com/forum/mvnforum/viewthread_thread,49
