The PHP documentation in CHM format has always been the standard for me. It's the first language (aside MS batch files :) ) that I programmed with and ever since the beginning the doc has been a great tool. Just open the .chm file, type what you're looking for in the Index, chances are you'll find your function or keyword. If not, try Search. The documentation is uniform (you can find what you want at a glance), concise yet easy to understand, helpful and friendly (contains warnings and notices whenever important). It also contains user contributed notes at the bottom. I think the doc plays a big role in the success of PHP.
