CMP - the container will manage all the persistence,u dont have to worry about any JDBC or anything like this.
BMP - Container will not be any more incharge of the persistence,You have to be handle it all,all JDBC like stuff , you have to know.
Well CMP is easy to use,BMP gives you more control.Although it is said CMP is not suitable for complex data structures etc,but in last 3 yrs , I still have to find a real one,where it cant be used,to some extent.
Writing BMP, i think ,more than control,gives programmer a ego satisfaction that I m the boss here, i m handling everything etc.
