HI,
I am learning java as a beginner.Would someone Please take some time to direct me on this installation problem?

I was able to get my java programs running successfully when i downloaded the j2sdk to my drive C.
Now that I am using windows 2000 professional edition and has downloaded it to my logical software drive E: as a partition on C:in the following folders on WDSOFT_32(E:)\Program Files\Java2\j2sdk-1-4-2windows-1586-iftw,I get the message "Bad command or file name" ,when I invoke javac in DOS.The path under System variables on my windows 2000 is C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT;C:\WIN... How do I update the new path variable so the system could locate the java compilier on Drive E: where I installed j2sdk-1-4-2-windows-1586-iftw in a java2 folder under program files?

Please help and I would be extremely grateful.

THANKS!!!!!
