How javascript variable can be assinged to java
in same class

Before submitting javascript variables can be assigned to a hidden textbox.
After submitting the form to the servlet,the servlet has to take the value from the textbox.

i dont want to submit i want to assing the value of
java script variable to java variable in same form
by calling a method in java script

How will that be possible? Java runs on the server side while JavaScript on the client. Without a submit how can you assign the value?
