Is this at all possible? If it is, I suppose the question is how much? and where? does anyone know?

There are many utilities available that convert .bat files to .exe or .com....what you may want to do is, create a .bat file to run the java program and then convert this .bat to .exe/.com

Search for ".bat to .exe" in any search engine and I hope that should solve your problem.

What did you mean by "how much" ?
