Mapping dependent objects in entity beans

I have entity beans with dependent objects as it attributes. Websphere lets me map the fields inside the dependent to individual fields in the database, using something called depdent composer. Do the other app servers support anything like this? How are dependent objects which are attibutes of an entity bean mapped to the database in other app servers?
