Clear screen

Is there a way to clear a GUI prompt screen, so if your looping the screen is cleared to start over again? Thnx

Unforunantly, no there isn't so far as my expierice has lead, (which is farly considerable) perhaps in a furture release of java but for now you'll just have to print of a bunch of skip line comands, ya know the System.out.print("\n"); you can put it in a incrimenting loop with a counter so as you don't have to copy this line 50 times but thats about as easy as clearing a screen is a present

just leave som gaps by the commands.there is a command.but iam not remembering it bcoz i am not doing application type programme.what r u doing.where is ur house..if u can please reply to kanakchandra@sify.com.we can be friends

It doesn't make sense to clear the screen in a GUI (at least not in the way it does for a console app). Anyway, it is pretty easy to make a little JNI extension that does this. I posed the JNI solution to this elsewhere in this forum; try searching for it.
