Just to point out, do you think you are targetting a random sample by pointing a link to a Survey with Questions such as:

"Please indicate all software platform that form the foundation for your EAI / web services solutions"

on a Java Forum?

Really it would be really odd if any of the respondents
redirecting to your site from here, choose anything other
than J2EE or Open Source

Thanks for your reply.

I am targeting different communities within this online questionaire( e.g. J2EE , .NET ) .

I agree with you that the sample here would be mainly J2EE , but this is not the only place where I am collecting data.
