1a) What are your opinions on c++ vs java vs c#?
1b) What do you think are the positives and negatives of each program?
1c) What do you think is 'the best' for linux?
2a) Do you think there are sufficient types and application-specific add-on programs for linux?
2b) Do you think these add-on programs for linux are up-to-date with modern technology including televison [regardless of frequency(PAL/NTSC/ETC), screen ratio, etc], vhs, dvd, mp3's, etc?
2c)Do you think the network topolgies and technological diverse (for example, POTS interacting with Hybrid Fibre cable etc...)?

Hey! I don't know if I can answer all your questions, but here is some of the stuff I think:

1.a) I like C++ best out of those three, though I haven't tried C#. Java is slower than C++ and I don't know if it has as many features as C++. Also, C# is a hybrid language of Visual Basic and C++, so I don't know if Linux supports it because it's a Microsoft product. Check www.microsoft.com for more info about that.
1. b) C#: easier to learn, relatively new.
C++: fast, most company's use it if you want do to it professionally, but hard as heck to master.
JAVA: fun :), syntax like C++ so if you learn C++, JAVA will be a breeze.
1. c) I think the best would be C++, because in the end if you know C++, JAVA is easy. Therefore, you could learn both!
2. a) There's definately not as much as for Windows... And I hear some of them are horrible. If you need high quality word processors and the like for school or work, stick with Windows, or have a dual-OS system.
2. b) Yes and no. They're working on it, certainly not the level of Windows, if that's what you mean.
2. c) This is beyond my realm of knowledge. :)

Hope it helps, I don't claim to be an expert in these fields, it's just my two cents.
