Hi Java Experts,
I am new to JAVA, please suggest some best books to start with and some best links for beginers. Also for writing programs which IDE should I use ?

Detailed help will be appreciated.

hey u can go for CompleteReference and book by Ditel 'n' Dietel ... and use edit+ for writing program and webgain visual cafe for GUI Design ... okay

Read Bruce Eckel, Thinking in Java. Everything other books are just stuff or just translated from C.
A little high level, than for beginner, but **ultimate**.
