Hi guys and girls,

I need to create a java applet (doing this in JBuilder 3.5) which I can then attach to an e-mail in MS Outlook. When the person receiving the mail opens it, it should automatically run the applet, and prompt the receiver to download any add-ins that may be required.

My knowledge of Java is only ok, so please speak slowly when answering!!

Thanks a million,

Candy Cane

I can't answer to your email but from my knowledge, java applet is disable in MS Outlook.

Poison applet could wipe Windows PCs.

"Java applets are disabled within the Restricted Sites Zone. As a result, any mail client that opened HTML mail within the Restricted Sites Zone, such as Outlook 2002, Outlook Express 6, or Outlook 98 or 2000 when used in conjunction with the Outlook Email Security Update, would not be at risk from the mail-based attack vector.
