hi all,,,

I need some help here for my project:

I have have to design and build a Report Generator Tool in Java. The tool should be able to format and generate tabular reports and graphical reports(example : statistical with bar/pie charts).,..

I really got no idea how to start it....can u help please?
Any source code or sample that I should refer to..?

please help....

I have the same problem with you...
there are some tools , and I have no idea ,to decide which one is the best and easy to used.
here's the tools :
Style EE Report
Oracle9i Report
Jasper Report
JFree Report
Crystal Report
and more...
so, help me to find it.

Disclaimer: I don't know anything about report generation.

However, I have noticed that a lot of people are using Crystal Reports. It seems to be the current favourite.

My 2 cents worth.

i have also a problem with report generator!
i have to program a tool which can read datas in a sql database from mckoi (first problem: what the hell is mckoi and how does it work?) and gives an output in java.


please can somebody help me?
