Slow running Java

I have Internet Explorer on my computer. Whenever I run an Applet by Internet Explorer, it run really slow. Please tell me the tip how to make it run faster. Thank you for your help.

check your system resources to see if it is under 30%. To do this:
-click start menu
-go to settings and scroll over to control panel
-go to add and remove programmes
-go to window setup tab
-scroll down to system tool and click it once
-click details
- check off system resource meter
- click go twice
-go to start\accesseries\system tools\system resource meter
-click it and a meter will appear telling you how much percentage is being used. If it is low you may have to remove programmes that are constantly running on your computer from start up. Also make sure you got alot of memory left. If there is not alot of memory left then this may be the problem also. I use internet explorer and java works fine for me so it must be the computer. I use 700 mhs compact persono. I say it system resources though
