how to validate "date" using JSP.

There are a couple of ways depending on date format and client side or server side.

One way a simple aproach is to use
SimpleDateFormat and the parse method, if the String ie:your date being passed to parse can't be parsed it is invalid. parse will throw a ParseException in this case.
