What is the difference between Weblogic & Tomcat server and the advantage/disadvantage over each other

The main difference is that Tomcat is open-source and hence, free. WebLogic has a price tag attached to it. Also, I think that weblogic has support for EJB's whereas Tomcat does not.

weblogic is an application sverver. it has ejb container. it is possible to deploy real business application in weblogic - a kind of multitier application implemented with j2ee technology.

tomcat is not an application server. it has only servlet and jsp containers.
