In this interview with Artima, CodeGear's Jeff Anders talks about Application Factories, a feature of the new JBuilder 2008 IDE that facilitates knowledge sharing among developers:

What do you think of Application Factories?

I think it's definitely a good way to reuse the knowledge from others(include myself) and I also think it will be very efficient.

In my understanding of Application Factories, its way is more like macro in Microsoft Word. It records the steps how and where to modify in the project.

I have another question about your example in the last part of the article. The example is changing stylesheet in a web application. My question is that when the script the IDE used have generated, maybe I will add some codes related to the stylesheet, so does the script generated before automatically update with the modification?

If the answer is "yes", it will be great, otherwise what should I do?
