If you've ever added thread count to your Task Manager view, you might've noticed that the .NET applications you write always seem to load with at least 4 threads running (more if you have multiple threads in your application). Thanks to Willy Denoyette (MVP) for giving me the scoop on what each of these threads are:

Thread 0 : Applications main thread (managed)
Thread 1 : Debugger Runtime Controller thread (unmanaged)
Thread 2 : Finalizer thread (managed)
Thread 3 : Debugger thread (unmanaged)
